HiTech 2026 Closing Session: Watch the project pitches
The HiTech 2026 Closing Session brought together key players from Portugal's innovation ecosystem at the Tivoli BBVA Theatre in Lisbon to celebrate the conclusion of another successful edition of HiTech.
The event welcomed more than 100 participants, including researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, corporate partners, HiSeedTech member companies, mentors and representatives from universities and research organisations. Throughout the afternoon, ten multidisciplinary teams took to the stage to present the business cases they had developed over four months of intensive work, demonstrating how scientific research can be translated into market opportunities with the potential to generate economic and societal impact.
From healthcare and biotechnology to advanced materials, renewable energy, electronics, food safety and industrial sustainability, the presentations reflected the diversity and quality of the technologies emerging from Portuguese research institutions. More importantly, they showcased the teams' ability to communicate not only the scientific excellence behind their projects, but also the customer needs they address, their value proposition and their pathway towards commercialization.
If you were unable to attend the event - or would simply like to revisit the presentations - you can now watch all ten project pitches below.

By bringing together researchers, investors, industry representatives and innovation leaders, the event creates opportunities for new collaborations, partnerships and future impact beyond the programme itself.
