From Lab to Market: HiTech 2025 Closing Session Showcases Deep Tech Breakthroughs!
On Thursday, June 26th, the Thalia Theatre in Lisbon welcomed over 100 guests to the HiTech 2025 Closing Session, the final milestone of this year’s program. The event gathered researchers, mentors, HiSeedTech member company representatives, investors, and other key players from the deep tech ecosystem for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to science-based innovation and entrepreneurship.
Over the past four months, 14 research teams participated in HiTech 2025, an intensive, hands-on program designed to transform breakthrough scientific discoveries into viable business opportunities. With a strong focus on market validation, business case development, and months of dedicated mentoring and technology commercialization training, the program prepared researchers to take their technologies beyond the lab and into real-world applications.
This edition introduced two specialized tracks:
The Closing Session began with welcoming remarks from Mário Freire, President of the Board at HiSeedTech, followed by a program overview and methodology presentation by Pedro Vilarinho, General Manager of HiSeedTech. The session was hosted by Roger Debo, who guided the audience through each team’s presentation, ensuring an engaging and dynamic atmosphere throughout the afternoon.
The highlight of the afternoon was the series of pitches from the 14 participating teams, showcasing solutions developed through months of mentoring, market validation, and entrepreneurial training. All of them will soon be available on the HiSeedTech YouTube channel.
