12 innovative technologies have been selected. Congratulations!
We have received a large number of applications for the HiTech Program and the 12 more promising technologies were selected by our assessment panel, taking into account criteria such as the unique features, the existence of intellectual property, the variety of applications and the commercial potential in global markets. This assessment panel was composed by Angus Kingon (Brown University), Roger Debo (Rutgers University) and Steve Markham (Toshiba Global Solutions) and Pedro Vilarinho (HiSeedTech).
The selected projects come from several Portuguese R&D institutions, namely from: the universities of Lisboa (Instituto Superior Técnico), NOVA (Faculty of Science and Technology, Medical School - CEDOC); Minho; Porto (Faculty of Medicine, I3S- Institute for Research and Innovation in Health, IPATIMUP, Faculty of Pharmacy); the Polytechnics of Setubal (School of Health Care, Barreiro School of Technology), Porto (School of Engineering); Egas Moniz – Cooperativa de Ensino Superior and iMM – Instituto de Medicina Molecular.
