The program started with 12 technologies.
HiTech program has started in Porto Business School and Nova School of Business and Economics with 12 technologies, 37 researchers, 17 management students and 24 business mentors.
Together they will test the market relevance of their projects and will create a well-grounded business.
The projects come from several Portuguese R&D institutions, namely from: the universities of Lisboa (Instituto Superior Técnico), NOVA (Faculty of Science and Technology, Medical School - CEDOC); Minho; Porto (Faculty of Medicine, I3S- Institute for Research and Innovation in Health, IPATIMUP, Faculty of Pharmacy); the Polytechnics of Setubal (School of Health Care, Barreiro School of Technology), Porto (School of Engineering); Egas Moniz – Cooperativa de Ensino Superior and iMM – Instituto de Medicina Molecular.
HiTech will end on the 2nd of July.
