HiSeedTech Secures Third Place as EIT Deep Tech Talent Trainer of the Year.

Securing third place in the NGO category, HiSeedTech celebrates its recognition for training 214 talents in deep tech commercialization, contributing to Europe's innovation ecosystem.

HiSeedTech is proud to announce that it has been honored as one of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative’s 2024 Trainers of the Year, receiving third place in the NGO or Association category. This significant recognition highlights HiSeedTech’s unwavering commitment to advancing deep tech skills through dedicated training for Researchers and Technology Transfer Officers (TTOs).

From 2023 to 2024, HiSeedTech successfully trained 214 talents, equipping them with the expertise needed to transition groundbreaking technologies from the lab to the market.

The award was presented during the Deep Tech Skills Days, held on November 12–13, 2024, in Warsaw, Poland. This event brought together pledgers of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, as well as industry leaders, academic institutions, and organizations committed to building a strong European deep tech talent pipeline.

HiSeedTech is a proud contributor to the Deep Tech Talent Initiative, a flagship program under the New European Innovation Agenda. Spearheaded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT)—Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem—this initiative aims to train 1 million people in deep tech areas by 2025. HiSeedTech actively supports this ambitious goal, positioning Europe as a global leader in deep tech innovation.

Panel on Deep Tech Talent, Entrepreneurship, and Impact

During the Deep Tech Skills Days, HiSeedTech contributed to the discussion on deep tech talent development by participating in a panel titled "Deep Tech Talent, Entrepreneurship, and Impact". The panel, moderated by Cristina Baghiu (EDIH DIZ Coordinator, Technical University Gheorghe Asachi), featured prominent industry leaders:

Breakout session on "Deep Tech Entrepreneurship: 20 Years of Experience in Training and Mentorship"

HiSeedTech’s COO, Cláudia Barbosa, and CEO, Pedro Vilarinho, led a breakout session titled "Deep Tech Entrepreneurship: 20 Years of Experience in Training and Mentorship". This session highlighted HiSeedTech’s two decades of hands-on experience in fostering deep tech entrepreneurship, Attendees—including universities, training providers, and companies gained valuable insights into our methodology of knowledge commercialization.

A key highlight of the session was the HiTech methodology, which is now open for applications. This methodology has also been successfully implemented in the S3E Start program, a hands-on course that is part of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative. These programs empower researchers with essential skills in knowledge commercialization, to support them turning deep tech projects into market-ready solutions.
